Dr Jason Hawrelak is one of the leading authorities on matters relating to the microbiome, researching it for over 20 years as well as conducting an active practice.
He has a website that lists all available probiotic products in Australia, US and UK along with the individual strains in each product. It also contains information about each strain, and references to papers that have studied that strain.
He also has an education site with a number of courses on the microbiome. Some are for interested people and others are intended for practitioners. Some are free, but most have a cost. Meet Your Microbiome is the one recommended for ordinary people wanting to improve their microbiome.
Hawrelak practises at Goulds Natural Medicine in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, but his waiting list is very, very long - over two years. However, associates at the practice have shorter waiting times. They do Skype consultations as well as face-to-face.
The links below are of some of his talks with various people about his ideas. The list was compiled by David Morrison. Many thanks to David for letting us use this list!
